 STUDENTS FROM HAILSHAM COMMUNITY COLLEGE

In co-operation with Hailsham Community College, we have provided work experience to students interested in Equine pursuits, veterinary and farm work, those who enjoy the outside life, etc.

This has proved so popular, we have now been contacted by the Education Authority.  We expect students from Bishop Bell and Cavendish schools to join us this year for an experience we hope they will cherish long after they conclude their educations.

Students will learn about the day to day activities involved in looking after rescued animals:-

  • How a stable should be kept.

  • What to look for to ensure animals are happy.

  • Feeding routines.

  • Exercise. Grooming.

  • Yard management.

  • Field management.

  • Greeting members of the public.

If you are interested in working at Bushy Wood stables near Hailsham, please speak with your teacher first, we have limited placings.  If you are a teacher looking to place students for work experience, please contact our stable manager:

We believe every horse, pony and donkey has the right to be part of a loving family where it will be cared for and loved to the end of its natural life.
