SUSSEX POLICE - TAKE NO ACTION ?

It's a funny kind of investigation where no suspects are interviewed and no statements taken from the victims of the crime.  It gets even worse where no crime number exists.  We understand this is a standard ruse the Police use where they actually don't want to get involved for fear of what they might discover!

That state of mind is of course a failure to do ones duty and a fraud according to established precedent:  For if one suspects something is wrong, but decides to look the other way for fear of what he may discover, and then having discovered it may not then recover - the failure to take action is taken to be every bit as serious as operating in the knowledge something is seriously wrong.

Where Wealden District Council had agreed to cooperate with the Police.  In fact is was more like the Police cooperated with the Council.  Not one of the serious criminal matters complained of were investigated at all.  Not one of the complainants were contacted and not one of the suspect officers was interviewed.  

The sad truth is there was no investigation.  The fact there was no crime number says it all.  Wealden's former chief executive officer had obtained Police headed paper and written a letter exonerating his officers, which a Police officer then signed.  Talk about writing your own ticket!  Later when it was admitted by two serving Police officers at the Hailsham Police Station, that there had been no investigation, this confirmed the suspicions of the complainants.  It looks very much as if the Police and the Council worked together to cover up the Petition complaints.

The District Auditor has been asked to investigate, but has so far simply looked the other way.  It does not bode well for the District auditor, for when asked for sight of the letter and other letters from the next chief executive officer  (WDC former chief exe) the DA clammed up and refused to assist our own investigation.  WHY?  We believe the matter speaks for itself.

It is a fact the Police are funded by the Council.  Perhaps the Police did not want to bite the hand that feeds them?  If there is any officer who knows more about this cover-up, please remember there is unlimited compensation for harassment at work following whistle-blowing.  The question is - do the Police have a whistle blowing policy?
